Like the Street Triple, but harder.
It's a tough looking, higher spec version of the Street Triple - not an easy task when the original is so imrpessive. A real challenge, but we've taken this bike to a new level of style and performance. Intrducing the Street Triple R.
Fitted with fully adjustable front and rear suspension, Nissin 4-psiton radial front callipers and radial master cyllinder, parts normally found in the supersports category.
The upside down forks are anodised blsck to compliment an aggressive new Matt Graphite paint scheme with distinctive orange "R" graphics and two-tone black and grey stitched seat. With Magura tapered aluminium handlebars, it's not a bike for those who do subtle, more for those who take things to the max.
Features & Benefits
Seat
Two-tone black and graphite saddle perfectly matches the Street Triple R's unique matt colour schemes while offering a sportier riding position than the standard Street Triple.
Engine
Derived from the class leading Daytona 675, the Street Triple R’s 675cc water-cooled three-cylinder 12-valve engine delivers strong low and midrange performance, from tick over to redline and produces more than 60Nm (44ft.lbf) of torque from 3500rpm right through to 12300rpm. The close-ratio six-speed gearbox maximises the effectiveness of the engine’s impressive power and torque, always giving you the perfect gear.
Chassis
Derived from the Daytona 675, the chassis gives supreme agility and feedback. Handling will give you confidence whether you’re new to bikes or pushing hard on the track.
Suspension
Fully-adjustable 41mm upside down forks and a top-spec rear monoshock unit with piggy back reservoir deliver a taut yet refined experience.
Handlebars
Wide, tapered, handlebars from Magura echo the legendary Speed Triple and put the Street Triple R rider in the perfect position to attack the twisty stuff or cut through the urban jungle.
Brakes
Radially-mounted four piston calipers grab the twin 308mm brake discs and ensure the Street Triple R stops as well as it goes.

Triumph 2009 Triumph Street Triple R Media/Press Release(s):
2009 Street Triple RFollowing on from the phenomenally successful Street Triple, Triumph is
introducing a new, higher-specification version for 2009 – the Street Triple R.
With the Street Triple already regarded as the class-leading middleweight
streetfighter, the ‘R’ version takes the standard bike and adds race track
technology. Fully-adjustable 41mm upside down forks and a top-spec rear
monoshock unit with piggy back reservoir deliver sublime handling, while radiallymounted
four piston calipers grab the twin 308mm brake discs and ensure the
Street Triple R stops as well as it goes.
At the heart of Street Triple R is the Street Triple’s highly-acclaimed fuel-injected
675cc three-cylinder unit, producing 108PS at 11,700rpm, while its fully
adjustable sports suspension and powerful four-piston radial brakes are derived
from the award-winning, 2008 Daytona 675. The new Street Triple R has been
designed to rival traditional supersport machines with its superlative handling and
stunning stopping power, while offering the comfort and attitude of a
streetfighter. The sporty feel is completed with wide, tapered aluminium
handlebars from Magura and a 5mm taller seat height that puts the Street Triple
R rider in the perfect position to attack the twisty stuff or cut its way through the
urban jungle.
Completing the Street Triple R’s distinctive look are two all-new exclusive colour
schemes: Matt Graphite with orange graphics and Matt Blazing Orange with grey
graphics (the latter will be available from January 2009). Both colour options are
further enhanced by black anodised forks and a two-tone black and graphite seat.
The new Street Triple R will be available in September and priced at £6,099
