This racing Yamaha R1 is one of the official bike of Team Yamaha Motor France run in the 2005 World Superbike Championship and ridden by the Frenchman Sébastien Gimbert. After taking pole position in the first race, Sébastien Gimbert finished 6th at Valencia in Spain and 16th overall at the end of the season with this bike.
